Our Chosen Charity
We are delighted to have as our chosen charity of the year – Derby Women’s Centre.
Derby Women’s Centre is a registered charity. They aim to empower women to be more independent. They have evolved from humble beginnings to become a leading provider of support services for women in and around Derby.
Their mission is to empower women to lead more independent lives. They aim to reduce economic inequality, improve mental well being and facilitate personal development. To do this, they offer support and guidance, signposting, counselling, legal advice and social activities and courses.
They provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for all women regardless of situation or background. Their services are completely confidential.
We have lots of exciting events and fundraisers planned to help raise much needed funds for the centre, so keep an eye out on our events page.
Our first event in support of Derby’s Women Centre is our Annual Showcase Concert on the 22nd November which takes place at The Chapel at Trent College in Long Eaton.

Our Crafting Queens are also currently knitting, crocheting, sewing, and hand-making some amazing gift ideas that we will be selling at our Showcase Concert.
All proceeds will be going to our fundraising pot.
